Terms of Service

Who you are agreeing with

Slynkz is provided by [Company legal name], [Company address] (“Slynkz”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

What Slynkz is

The service consists of:

• The Slynkz desktop app for macOS — a local-first AI workspace where your chats, files, and API keys stay encrypted on your device.
• The web account portal — where you manage your account, plan, billing, devices, and security settings.
• Optional managed model credits — paid plans include monthly credits that let the app reach AI model providers through our managed gateway, without you needing your own API keys.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. Keep your sign-in details secure, keep your account information accurate, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

Use Slynkz lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you agree not to:

• use the service to generate or distribute unlawful content, or to harm others;
• abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure;
• reverse-engineer, probe, or circumvent the managed model gateway or its metering;
• resell, share, or transfer managed credits or account access to third parties;
• use the service to violate the acceptable-use rules of the underlying AI model providers.

We may suspend or limit accounts that put the service or other users at risk.

Plans, billing, and credits

• Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in euros (EUR) through Stripe. Current prices are always listed at slynkz.com/pricing.
• Each billing cycle your plan’s managed credits refresh. Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next cycle.
• Top-up credit packs can be purchased separately and remain valid for 365 days from purchase.
• We may change prices with advance notice; changes take effect at your next billing cycle.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access and remaining credits until then, and you are not charged again. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

Third-party AI providers and availability

Managed-credit requests are fulfilled by third-party AI model providers. Their models may be changed, rate-limited, or temporarily unavailable for reasons outside our control, and their outputs are generated by statistical models that can be inaccurate. We route around provider problems where we can, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of any specific model, and we apply fair-use limits to keep the service healthy for everyone.

Intellectual property

The Slynkz software is licensed to you, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it under these terms. You keep all rights to the content you create with Slynkz — your prompts, your files, and the outputs you generate remain yours to the extent permitted by law.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. This does not affect warranties that consumer law grants you and that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms; where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. On termination, your right to use the managed gateway ends; data on your own device stays yours.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will give you advance notice by email or through the account portal, and the new terms will apply from the date stated in the notice. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — to be confirmed], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
