Slynkz started from a simple objection: the most useful software of this decade asks you to hand over everything you work on in order to use it. That trade is presented as inevitable. It is not.

What we are building

A desktop app where the AI is genuinely yours. Your conversations, files, and keys stay in an encrypted database on your own computer. You choose which models to use — including ones that run entirely on your machine and never touch a network. When the assistant wants to act, it asks first.

The hard part is not making that private. The hard part is making it private and good enough that you would choose it anyway. That is the work.

How we build

Slynkz is pre-1.0 and built in the open, by a very small team. That shapes two habits you will notice. Unfinished things are labelled unfinished in the product rather than hidden — if a capability is not ready, the app says so instead of failing quietly. And we would rather ship a build late than advertise one you cannot install.

Who operates Slynkz

The registered operating entity for Slynkz is not yet published here. It will be named on this page before paid accounts open.
